Being made of silicone, it is super soft and will last if washed after every use. A mask strap is a cheap small item that plays a huge part in your diving or snorkeling session. This is what holds your mask in place and prevents it from coming off. If your mask strap was to break, then you day is over as you can not continue without this. Having one or two spare mask straps in you spare kit is a must. Whether it is your strap or a buddies strap, having a back up is important.
