The Silva Field features measurements of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 scale maps, as well as a 50mm ruler on its baseplate. A rubber bezel is included to improve ease of use and comfort, and ensures a secure grip. The Field also includes a detachable lanyard, a declination scale for easy conversion between magnetic and grid bearings. A workhorse of a compass that is easy to read, the Field MS weighs just 28 grams you won’t notice it until you need it. This compass is calibrated for use in the Southern Hemisphere.
